Welcome to
The New Mexico Rio Grande Chapter of CMSA
The Case Management Society of America is the leading membership association providing professional collaboration across the healthcare continuum to advocate for patients’ well being and improved health outcomes by fostering case management growth and development, impacting health care policy, and providing evidence-based tools and resources.
Care managers are advocates who help patients understand their current health status, what they can do about it and why those treatments are important. In this way, care managers are catalysts by guiding patients and providing cohesion to other professionals in the health care delivery team, enabling their clients to achieve goals more effectively and efficiently.
We are located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and have about 90 members. Our professional organization is targeted for nurses, social workers and other health care professional case managers in a diverse range of settings in New Mexico.
We are a non-profit organization that has been affiliated since March 11, 1997 with the national CMSA organization. The national organization has more than 7,600 members with 100 affiliated and pending chapters.
Our chapter's mission is to provide education, support and communication to case managers in New Mexico.

Happy National Nurses Week May 6- May 12, 2013
|
Often described as an art and a science, nursing is a profession that embraces dedicated people with varied interests, strengths and passions because of the many opportunities the profession offers. As nurses, we work in emergency rooms, school based clinics, and homeless shelters, to name a few. We have many roles – from staff nurse to educator to nurse practitioner and nurse researcher – and serve all of them with passion for the profession and with a strong commitment to patient safety.
